My name is Brad Whitacre, owner of Yank'em Jigs. About six years ago I decided I was tired of buying mass produced jigs just to have the weed guards fall out, or weed guards laying on top of the hook not doing anything but interfering with the hook set, or the first time the jig hits a rock it chips, or the eyes fall off, or the band on the banded skirts slide down every time you set the hook, or just cheap hooks etc, etc. We have all had these problems with mass produced jigs.

All Yank'em Jigs are made in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. They are hand poured, hand painted and hand tied. Our jigs are individually hand painted using my own unique process insuring their durability and making them notably resistant to chipping. We use nothing but Gamakatsu hooks. All jigs have my bait keeper to hold any style of grub, chunk or paca craw you decide to run behind it. We fish wing dams and rip raff here on the Mississippi all season long. We just can't have jigs that chip. Yank'em jigs are hand tied using silicon skirts, and flash or tinsel in most swim jigs. It is important to remember that how the jig is tied not only affects the action, but also weed control and balance. We use wax thread for maximum knot strength.
